This is Glasgows home of live Traditional Folk music, World Music, Jazz, Jug
and Bluegrass - right in the heart of old Glasgow,and part of the Merchant
City.
Lauries has been the originator and the mainstay of the Celtic Connections fringe, and a is strong supporter of Folk Festivals and Traditional Music generally.
Cy
Laurie, the Proprietor, is a well-known Scottish Traditional singer
with strong Folk Music links, who has hosted many successful Charity events.
Cy is committed to Acoustic Music, whether it be Folk, Jazz or Bluegrass.
Lauries resident Dixieland Jazz and Blues band on Saturday
afternoon is a major feature. Another regular attraction is Mondays Open
Mike night with Bernadette Collier.
At Lauries, you will receive a friendly welcome from owners Cy and Mary Laurie, and manageress Pat Murray.
The Carlton Jug Band are back on Sunday 11th May, 3pm to 6pm
29th and 31st May - come and hear Glasgow Americana, at 8pm,
......and The LateComers on May 30th, 8pm.
Every Monday is Open Mic night with Bernadette Collier at 8.45!.
